Is latex safe for skin?

However, all of Latexlook’s garments are made from natural latex, which contains natural rubber proteins that can trigger allergic reactions in some individuals. This may lead to redness, itching, rashes, or, in rare cases, more serious skin issues. On top of that, if you’re allergic to natural latex, you might also react to certain fruits like bananas, avocados, or kiwis. We strongly recommend that beginners do a simple patch test on their skin before making a purchase, just to be safe.
Why does my latex hood smell bad?
- Natural latex contains rubber proteins, so a freshly made latex hood will have a distinct rubbery or resin-like smell. This is completely normal and just part of the material—it’s not a quality issue. Don’t worry though, the scent will gradually fade over time as the hood airs out.
Is the smell of latex harmful?
